About the
Finnegans Wake Society of New York
and the
Wake Watchers

Our Finnegans Wake Society Wake Watchers reading group meets once a month at the famous Gotham Book Mart in New York City, which has recently moved to a new elegant building at 16 East 46th Street. We read short portions of the text aloud and then discuss them.

The door is open to anyone wishing to attend one meeting, intermittently, or every one. Having read the Wake or any such prior experience is not necessary. Although some participants have studied the Wake intensively, first-time readers can jump right in, and often are the source of fresh meanings.

As the Wake is a circular tale, it doesn't ot matter where we are when you join the group. There is no membership, nor any dues; a voluntary contribution of $2 may be made at meetings.

Come with your copy of Finnegans Wake and be prepared to enter the wondrous world of the Wake Watchers.
